Giving Back

Stronger Communities Start Here

Powered by Purpose

Giving back to our local community is more than a responsibility to us — it’s personal. We believe that real impact isn’t measured only in financial contributions, but in the time we give, the hands we offer, and the moments we choose to show up for others.

By investing our energy, care, and presence, we hope to create lasting change where it matters most. We do this because we believe a community is only as strong as the people within it, and when we support one another, we build something stronger, kinder, and more meaningful together.

– Iain

Rooted in Community. Committed to Giving Back

Mr & Mrs Claus 2021 - Current

Giving back at Christmas has become something truly special for us. Each year, we step into the roles of Mr and Mrs Claus from Christmas Chronicles, with custom-made outfits created especially for the occasion and paid for in Full by Iain – Crafted by the local Talent that is Allen Stephen Crawford. Iain & Michelle thenspend two full weeks visiting local venues to help raise money for Hornsea Carnival. It’s more than dressing up — it’s about creating moments of magic, smiles, and memories for others. Devoting our time to spreading Christmas cheer and supporting our community is something we’re incredibly proud of, because making Christmas magical for others is what the season is really about.

Hornsea Carnival 2017 - Current

What started as simply joining Hornsea Carnival to help promote the event on social media and support the website turned into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Over time, that involvement grew into becoming Chairman in 2021, and alongside my wife, helping to run the carnival and organise a variety of free events throughout the year to raise funds. All of this leads up to our main event — a three-day celebration that is the largest and longest-running free carnival in East Yorkshire. Each July, we take two weeks out to help deliver the carnival with a small but dedicated team, all for the benefit of the entire community. It’s hard work, but seeing the town come together makes every single moment worth it.

SponsorShip Hornsea RUFC Colts - 2025/2026

Giving back to the local community means a great deal to me, and supporting the Hornsea RUFC Colts is something I’m incredibly proud of. Many of these young lads have grown up alongside my daughter, and having the privilege to coach them in their very first Colts season — the first the club has seen in many years — has been truly special. It’s so important we continue to support and encourage them as they grow, not just as rugby players, but as young men. Watching their commitment, teamwork, and love for the game develop has been a reminder of just how powerful community sport can be.

Coach - Mini & Junior Hornsea RUFC - 2021 - 2025

Giving back through rugby has been an incredible journey. For the past five seasons, my wife and I have had the privilege of coaching at Hornsea & Holderness Mini and Juniors, coaching kids and helping run the section for an amazing five years. Watching so many young players grow in confidence, skill, and love for the game has been genuinely special. Being part of their journey — on and off the pitch — is something we’ll always be proud of, and it’s a powerful reminder of how important grassroots sport and community really are.

Coach - Under 12 Bridlington RUFC - 2025 - current

After leaving Hornsea RUFC as a coach, I genuinely believed my coaching journey had come to an end. Coaching had given me so much, but I felt it was time to step back. Then we were contacted by three local clubs, and when Bridlington RUFC asked if I would come down, meet the lads, and see if I could help, I agreed — with no real expectations.

But after spending time with the lads, seeing their attitude, their effort, and the potential within the group, my heart simply couldn’t say no. Rugby has always been a huge part of my life. It teaches discipline, respect, teamwork, and resilience, and it gives you friendships, purpose, and a sense of belonging that’s hard to find anywhere else. Being able to give that back — to help young players grow both on and off the pitch — is something truly special, and I’m grateful rugby continues to give me the chance to do just that.

Hornsea Biker Event / Hornsea Foundation - 2015 - 2021

For over five years, while working full time, Iain supported the Hornsea Biker Event and the Hornsea Foundation with a range of digital and creative services as a way of giving back to the local community. His work included managing and growing their social media presence, designing promotional graphics and flyers, and creating websites to help promote the event and its charitable work. Through targeted campaigns and consistent online engagement, He helped increase their social media reach from around 5,000 to well over 45,000 people, significantly expanding awareness of the event and the causes it supports. In 2021, he stepped away from this role in order to dedicate his time and skills to supporting Hornsea Carnival in a similar way, continuing his commitment to strengthening and promoting community events.
